05 July 2007 18:33 Ukraine 3000 Fund Representatives Visit the Old City Lutsk State History and Culture PreserveJuly 5, 2007, representatives of the Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Fund with Head of the Fund’s Supervisory Board Mrs. Kateryna Yushchenko visited the Old City Lutsk State History and Culture Preserve. Among other participants of the event were Deputy Director of the National Amosov Cardiovascular Surgery Institute Vasyl Lazoryshynets, Director of the Hospital to Hospital Program Vira Pavliuk, Head of the Volyn Oblast State Administration Volodymyr Bondar, Acting Head of the Oblast Council Vasyl Dmytruk, local authorities’ and Ukraine 3000 Fund representatives. Mrs. Kateryna Yushchenko and Ukraine 3000 Fund representatives went on a tour of Lutsk old city. The guests visited the Lesia Ukrayinka Museum and laid flowers to the monument to Lutsk prison shooting victims. They also visited the Sts. Peter and Paul Cathedral and talked to Ordinary Bishop of the Rome Catholic Church Lutsk Diocese Markiyan Trofimiak. Mrs. Kateryna and Ukraine 3000 Fund representatives visited a children’s paintings show at the preserve and talked to the little artists. Mrs. Kateryna presented the show organizers with the Ukraine and Ukrainians book and was given two children’s painting as a return present. The Ukraine 3000 Fund representatives visited the Liubarta ancient castle, the main attraction of the Old City Preserve. They were given a tour of the castle territory and talked to its keepers. The guests also visited the Book Museum at the castle premises and gave it a Ukraine and Ukrainians book. Mrs. Kateryna Yushchenko and Ukraine 3000 Fund representatives are on a one-day working trip to Western Ukraine. Earlier they have visited the Rivne Oblast Children’s Clinical Hospital and Volyn Oblast Children’s Territorial Medical Association. ![]() |
