29 March 2007 13:17 Kharkiv Oblast Schools and Libraries Receive 1100 Copies of Ukraine’s Hetmans from Ukraine 3000 FundMarch 29, 2007, Ukraine’s Hetmans books were passed over to oblast schools and libraries at the Kharkiv Oblast Children’s and Youth Creativity Palace. The event was part of the Cossack Fame for Little Readers project by the Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Fund. The action took place at the unveiling of the Easter Patterns contest winners exhibition, organized by the Friends of the Children Charitable Fund with the support of the Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Fund. In course of the event, President of the Friends of the Children Charitable Fund and Member of the Ukraine 3000 Fund Supervisory Board Maryna Krysa delivered a certificate for 1,100 copies of the Ukraine’s Hetmans book to Deputy Head of the Kharkiv Oblast State Administration Liudmyla Bielova. The book will be distributed between Kharkiv oblast schools and libraries. Besides, Kharkiv oblast boarding schools have received from the Ukraine 3000 Fund book sets including Ukraine’s Hetmans, The Man, Aeneid by Ivan Kotliarevsky, and Masters of Our Art by Bohdan Pevny. The Cossack Fame for Little Readers project was presented February 27, 2007, in Poltava. It envisages free distribution of the Ukraine’s Hetmans among children’s educational institutions and libraries in Poltava, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, Sumy, and Kharkiv oblasts. The book is an enthralling and captivating narration on Ukraine’s history in the Cossacks times. Generously illustrated, with colorful design, the publication is aimed at junior and middle schoolchildren. |
