Kateryna Yushchenko Takes Part in the Vyshyvankas Blossom in the Borshchiv Land Show

Mrs. Yushchenko took part in a show held in Borshchiv city center. She visited a fair-exhibition, presenting the embroidering and singing culture of every village in Borshchiv district and the Borshchiv 2008 borsch fest. Mrs. Kateryna took part in cooking borsch in the central city square at a borsch cooking competition, where every village presented to the public its own borsch recipe.  »»

By this step the Ukraine 3000 Foundation wants, first of all, to urge the Ukrainian society to support its diaspora, whose members serve as bearers and popularizers of the Ukrainian language and culture among the global community. Reception and Ukrainian Cinema Presentation Held on Boulevard de la Croisette

Welcoming the guests, Mrs. Yushchenko thanked them for their interest to Ukraine and expressed her hope that the event would help them to learn more about Ukraine and its cinema. “We do have something to offer,” she said. “Talented actors, technicians, cameramen – professionals who are now working at world’s best sets. We have great locations and a great desire to take part in co-productions.” Mrs. Kateryna added that Ukraine’s beautiful and sometimes tragic history could become an inexhaustible source of stories waiting to be made into a movie.  »»
