Ukraine 3000 Foundation and Ukrainian House Dusseldorf Public Association Sign Memorandum on Cooperation
September 5, 2008, representatives of the Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Foundation met with Head of the Ukrainian House Dusseldorf Public Association Iryna Yastreb. Among the participants of the event were Head of the Supervisory Board Kateryna Yushchenko and Head of the Board of Directors Oleksandr Maksymchuk.
In course of the meeting, the parties signed the Memorandum on Cooperation between Ukraine 3000 Foundation and Ukrainian House Dusseldorf Public Association. The document envisages cooperation between the two organizations in 2008-2009 in three areas.
The priorities for the history and culture area are researching the fate of Ukrainian ostarbeiters, conducting events dedicated to the Holodomor manmade famine, organizing trainings and research work on historical issues in German archives, exchanging experience in register and preservation of cultural values.
The social and medical area envisages experience exchange on social adaptation fro children with special needs, studying and fighting the consequences of Chornobyl, organizing trainings for Ukrainian medical workers at German medical institutions.
The education area is aimed at establishing partnership between secondary, special, and higher educational institutions in Germany and Ukraine, along with exchanging experience between the young people to intensify the integration process and working out tolerance toward different cultures.
Recall that within the framework of the Ukraine 3000 - Ukrainian House Dusseldorf cooperation the Executed by Hunger: Unknown Genocide of the Ukrainians exhibition was presented at the North Rhine-Westphalia Parliament in June 2008.
