Ukraine 3000 Foundation Takes Part in Along the Paths of History Competition Awards Ceremony
September 5, 2008, representatives of the Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Foundation took part in the awards ceremony of the All-Ukrainian Along the Paths of History students’ research papers competition on the topic, 1932-1933 Holodomor Manmade Famine in Ukraine. Among the participants of the ceremony, hosted by Kyiv Teacher’s House, were Head of the State Archive Committee of Ukraine Oleksandr Udod and Head of the Central Archive Dpet. with the SSU Vasyl Danylenko.
The Ukraine 3000 Foundation awarded the winners and consultants with sets of scholarly books on Holodomor, published in 2007-2008 with the Foundation’s support.
Along the Paths of History competition was initiated by the Nova Doba [New Age] All-Ukrainian History and Social Sciences Teachers’ Association and took place from September 1, 2007, till March 15, 2008. The organizers received 412 papers, applied by 1648 students from various Ukraine’s regions. The contest committee remarked that all works were highly professional, being based upon witness accounts, documents from archives and local history museums, scholarly publications, photo and video materials.
The Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Foundation congratulates the winners and thanks the organizers for broaching and updating the Holodomor subject in the Ukrainian community.
