Kateryna Yushchenko Takes Part in Ukrainian Projects Presentation at the Cannes Festival

May 16, 2008, Head of the Supervisory Board of the Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Foundation Kateryna Yushchenko took part in the presentation of Ukrainian projects at the International Cannes Film Festival. The participants and guests of the festival were demonstrated projects that will be released officially in 2008: Dau by Illia Khrzhanovsky, Mykyta Kozhumyaka by Mykhaylo Kostrov, A House with a Turret by Yeva Neyman, and At the Riverside by Yeva Neyman. The event was also attended by the projects’ authors and producers along with the Ukraine 3000 Foundation and Ukrainian Film Foundation members.

“We are happy that Ukraine has finally got its own pavilion at the Cannes Festival and a chance to present its attainments along with future projects,” Mrs. Yushchenko said. “We invite everybody to cooperate with Ukraine, since what we have to offer is not only great stories and ideas for new films, but the experience of Ukrainian professionals.”

Mrs. Kateryna thanked all partners of the Ukraine 3000 Foundation and Ukrainian Film Foundation, in part the Nemiroff Company, who helped this action happen. “We assure you that the Ukraine 3000 Foundation and Ukrainian Film Foundation will keep making efforts to promote the Ukrainian cinema in the world,” she said.

Mrs. Yushchenko and Ukraine 3000 Foundation representatives are taking part in the 61th International Cannes Festival. Earlier they have attended the Cannes Film Market.
