Ukrainian Museum Development Center Library Receives a Present
The Ukrainian Museum Development Center has received a present from the Embassy of the United States of America to Ukraine: a set of foreign publications on history, arts, and cukture history. The books will replenish the funds of a specialized public museum library, the Center’s subdivision.
The project to create Ukraine’s first specialized public museum library was initiated by the Ukrainian Museum Development Center jointly with the Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Fund in early 2007. In the future the library is to become an important resource center for the whole Ukrainian museum community.
The library’s major mission will be collecting new foreign and Ukrainian books on various aspects of the museum work, organizing free access to the book collection for museum workers and students specializing in the museum work, as well as providing colleagues with timely information on the book and multimedia novelties.
The Ukrainian Museum Development Center and Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Fund express their sincere gratitude for the valuable present to the Embassy of the United States of America to Ukraine and personally Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the US to Ukraine William Taylor and Deputy Attaché for Culture Olha Krekoten.
