Readers of Poltava Oblast Children’s Library Receive Presents from Ukraine 3000 Fund
April 19, 2007, representative of the Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Fund Olesia Stasiuk took part in a literary workshop organized by the Radosyn Literary Association. The participants of the event held at the National Writer’s House in Kyiv were little readers and members of educational projects at the Panas Myrny Poltava Oblast Children’s Library. The action was part of the schedule of the weekly literary workshops of the Radosyn Association, supported by the Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Fund.
In course of the event, the young Poltava maestros presented to the audience their literary and artistic works.
On behalf of the Ukraine 3000 Fund, Ms. Stasiuk presented the Panas Myrny Poltava Oblast Children’s Library with a book set. Besides, every young participant received a copy of Ivan Kotliarevsky’s Aeneid. In their turn, guests from Poltava gave the Ukraine 3000 Fund the Remember Your Kin catalog of Poltava children’s paintings dedicated to the Manmade Famine in Ukraine.
Literary workshops of the Radosyn Association, headed by poet, writer, and translator Dmytro Cherednychenko, are held on a weekly basis and involve creative groups, in part, children’s ones, from throughout Ukraine.
