Kateryna Yushchenko Visits Kharkiv State Medical University Museum
November 23, 2006, Head of the Supervisory Board of the Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Fund Kateryna Yushchenko visited the Kharkiv State Medical University Museum.
Mrs. Yushchenko was given a tour of the museum and talked to its staff.
The Kharkiv State Medical University Museum was founded in 1968. Its collection includes up to 4,000 items, some of them unique. In part, it features a certificate for radium delivery signed by Maria Sklodowska-Curie and letters from the Nobel Committee to one of the university professors. The museum also displays documents covering Kharkiv medical professionals’ participation in liquidating the consequences of the Chornobyl disaster, the Afghanistan War, and the history of Kharkiv State Medical University.
The event was part of the Head of the Supervisory Board of the Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Fund’s working visit to Kharkiv.
