Representatives of Ukraine 3000 Fund Take Part in the Opening Ceremony of NTCU Museum
November 16, 2006, Head of the Board of Directors of the Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Fund Oleksandr Maksymchuk took part in the opening ceremony of the Museum of the National Television Company of Ukraine. Among other participants of the ceremony, held at the lobby of the First National Channel office, were Head of the State Committee for Television and Radio Broadcasting Eduard Prutnyk, Head of the Chief Office for Informational Policy Oleksandr Semyriadchenko, NTCU management, and members of Ukraine’s National Council for Television and Radio Broadcasting.
The NTCU Museum is Ukraine’s first television museum. Its display illustrates the history of the National Television Company of Ukraine from first television transmission in 1956 to our days. It features photographs, studio designs, first TV sets and transmitting equipment, as well as NTCU documents and awards won by the company during the 55 years of its existence.
The Ukraine 3000 Fund and National Television Company of Ukraine share a long history or cooperation. In part, the NTCU was among the organizers of the Ukraine Saves Its Children project to help children with leukemia. Within the framework of this project, the First National Channel broadcasts weekly Way Home shows. In addition, the National Television Company of Ukraine co-organized the Museum Event of the Year first all-Ukrainian action. Besides, NTCU Head Vitaly Dokalenko signed the Memorandum on Cooperation on creating and constructing the Children’s Hospital of the Future.
