Head of the Supervisory Board of the Ukraine 3000 Fund Visits Opening of the Dzhus Family Tapestry Exhibition
November 9, 2006, Head of the Supervisory Board of the Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Fund Kateryna Yushchenko visited the opening of the Dzhus family tapestries exhibition at the Central Artist’s House in Kyiv.
Mrs. Yushchenko congratulated the Dzhus family with the opening, wishing them inspiration and further creative attainments.
The exhibition will last for 10 days. In addition to tapestry, it displays paintings depicting the beauty of Ukrainian landscapes and impressions from trips abroad.
The exhibition features art works by Stepan, Liudmyla, and Taras Dzhus.
The Dzhus family works in various techniques and materials. The artists do murals, inlays, stained glass, and tapestry. The Dzuses have created over 100 tapestries, preserved not only in Ukraine but also abroad (in Russia, Japan, Canada, the US, Austria, and Hungary).
