The Ukraine 3000 Fund Presents an Action for the All-Ukrainian Libraries Day

September 27, the Libraries in the Life of the Society press conference was held, organized by the Ministry of Culture and the Arts of Ukraine to celebrate the All-Ukrainian Libraries Day (September 30).

Among its guests were Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism of Ukraine Olha Bench, Chief Manager of the Libraries Department at the Ministry of Culture and Tourism Iryna Shevchenko, Head of the Board of Directors of the Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Fund Oleksandr Maksymchuk, President of the Ukrainian Library Association Valentyna Pashkova, General Director of the National Parliamentary Library of Ukraine Tamara Vylehzhanina, and Director of the Lesya Ukrayinka Public Library Liudmyla Kovalchuk.

At the press conference Mr. Maksymchuk greeted the Ukrainian library workers and presented the All-Ukrainian Charitable Action timed to coincide with the professional holiday. The Ukraine 3000 Fund together with the Fund to Promote Development of the National Arts Museum, Center for Museum Development, and Stylos Publishers will make valuable presents to Ukraine’s libraries. In part, 180 national, oblast, and regional libraries, including the university ones, will obtain six albums of the National Arts Museum of Ukraine and sets of books on Ukrainian archeology, history, and culture. The books will be passed to the libraries during the next few months.
