July 7 Will See the Opening of the Dreamland 2006 International Folk Festival
July 7 at 5 p.m. the main stage of the Spivoche Pole will host the opening of the Dreamland 2006 International Folk Festival. One of its organizers is the Ukraine 3000 Charitable Foundation. The Third Dreamland is aimed at broad presentation of various spheres of ethnic culture. It schedules concerts of renowned Ukrainian groups and musicians working in the world music style: Vopli Vidopliasova, Mandry, Haydamaky, Hutsul Calipso, etc. The Spivoche Pole stage will also see best Ukrainian folk groups: Drevo, Hurtopravtsi, Volodar, Na Dobryden. The festival program, in addition to music, features an interactive ethnic program for children and folk crafts fair - workshop. It is planned to invite to the festival such renowned musicians as Natacha Atlas (Great Britain), Red Cardell (France), and Vilddas (Finland).
The two previous Dreamland festivals, held with the invariable support by the Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Foundation, were an extraordinary success.
The festival’s organizers are the Dreamland Public Organization, the Ukraine 3000 International Foundation, Initia Events Management Ltd., Art-Veles Arts Agency, and Ivan Honchar Museum Ukrainian Folk Arts Center.
The festival will last from July 7 to 9.
