Three Workshops and the Youth Assembly Held at the Artek Dialogs Annual Educational Forum September 20
The Artek Dialogs Annual Educational Forum, scheduled for September 18-21, 2008, at the Artek International Children’s Center, continues its work. The Forum was organized by the Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Foundation with the official support from UNESCO and the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
September 20, three sessions were held: Secondary Education Quality. How to Solve Multiple Problems: from Textbooks to Point System (Friendship Hall at the Morsky Camp), Coordinating National Education’s Development Vector with Challenges of Modern Economics and Business, and Preschool Education: a Child Defines the Development (the Artek School premises). Also the Artek School hosted the Youth Assembly session. The topic for the discussion was Youth Initiatives and Innovative Technologies in Education and Upbringing.
Among the participants of the Secondary Education Quality. How to Solve Multiple Problems: from Textbooks to Point System session were Minister for Education and Science Ivan Vakarchuk and President of the Academy of Pedagogical Sciences Vasyl Kremin.
The participants of the sessions conveyed their views on the issues under discussion and suggested their solutions. The meetings were held in the form of free discussion, where all participants had a chance to express their viewpoint on the problem.
The results of the sessions of this day and the previous will be presented at a plenary session, summing up the Forum’s work.
