Ukraine 3000 Fund Members Visit Kirovohrad Children’s House
September 18, 2007, representatives of the Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Fund, headed by Head of the Supervisory Board of the Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Fund Kateryna Yushchenko, visited the Kirovohrad Children’s House. Among the participants of the event were Head of the Kirovohrad Oblast State Administration Vadym Chernysh, Head of the Healthcare Administration Mykola Benet, Advisor to Head of the Supervisory Board of the Ukraine 3000 Fund Andriy Myroshnichenko, Director of the Medical Programs Department at the Ukraine 3000 Fund Vira Pavliuk, representatives of the local authorities and Ukraine 3000 Fund. Accompanied by Chief Physician Liubov Dykusha, the guests took a tour of the House. They visited children’s rooms, Physiotherapy, Psychotherapy, and Speech Therapy Units, and the winter garden with a pool.
On behalf of the Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Fund, Mrs. Kateryna Yushchenko donated to the Children’s House a set of children’s furniture, children’s underwear, books, and toys with total costs of over UAH 23,000. The meeting ended in a small concert prepared by the children.
The Kirovohrad Children’s House was founded in 1980. It hosts children with central nervous system and mental disorders. At present, 120 children aged from birth to 4 years are staying at the House. 80 nurses, 11 pediatricians, and 35 pedagogues take care of the children’s treatment, as well as physical and intellectual development.
Mrs. Kateryna Yushchenko and Ukraine 3000 Fund representatives are staying in Kirovohrad for a one-day working trip. They have already been to the Kirovohrad National Technical University and are to visit the Kirovohrad Oblast Clinical Hospital.
