First Stage Completed of the Contest of Art Objects for the Contemporary Arts Park at the Children's Hospital of the Future

March 1, 2008, the First Stage was finished of the Contest of Art Objects for the Contemporary Arts Park at the All-Ukrainian Center to Protect Mothers’ and Children’s Health, a.k.a. Children's Hospital of the Future.

Thirteen individual and group projects were submitted in various age categories. Young artists from Kyiv and Lviv proved most active, presenting both individual objects and complete designs for the park.

Some contesters’ modern approach and original ideas met approval from the expert committee members. In the next future every participant will receive the committee individual notes and recommendations to correct their projects for further participation in the competition.

At present, the Second Stage has begun. Recall that the applicants have to submit projects with detailed description and illustrative material, plus estimates, in electronic format. The illustrative part has to be sent by mail, marked CHF Park, Stage II and with contact information attached. The paper format should be A2, number of pages not limited.

According to the contest conditions, the participants in Stage II can be:

  • Participants of Stage I, having considered the Expert Committee’s commentary (documents applied in accordance with Supplements 3 and 4);
  • Artists, sculptors, designers, architects, or students of the respective colleges, artists’ unions and alliances who didn’t take part in Stage II (documents applied in accordance with Supplements 2, 3, and 4, marked First Application).

We invite all potential participants to take an active part in Stage II. This stage will finally define those having a real chance to implement their boldest ideas in the Contemporary Arts Park at the Children's Hospital of the Future.

The Contest of Art Objects for the Contemporary Arts Park at the All-Ukrainian Center to Protect Mothers’ and Children’s Health, a.k.a. Children's Hospital of the Future, was announced September 13, 2007.
