Contest Committee of the Contest for General Designer of the All-Ukrainian Center to Protect Mothers’ and Children’s Health Started Its Work
July 25, 2007, at 11:00 am, Kyiv time, the Contest Committee of the Contest for General Designer of the All-Ukrainian Center to Protect Mothers’ and Children’s Health, the Children’s Hospital of the Future, started its work at the Small Hall of the Ukrainian House in Kyiv.
The Contest Committee members are globally renowned architects and medical workers from Europe, North America, and CIS countries. The contest procedure is being independently observed by the Contest’s Supervisory Board whose members are representatives of the Pediatrists’ Association of Ukraine, Notary Chamber, and Lawyers Association of Ukraine.
The Contest Committee will hold its meetings July 25-26, considering the submitted proposals best in terms of their architectural qualities and consistence with the medical task. July 26, 2007, the Committee will select three proposals which, in its members’ view, answer the said criteria in the best way. The Committee will recommend these proposals for the consideration of for further consideration by the supreme governing body of the Children’s Hospital of the Future Charitable Fund, the Conference, which, having considered the commercial parts of the proposals, will select the winner.
The project to create the All-Ukrainian Center to Protect Mothers’ and Children’s Health was initiated by the Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Fund in March 2006. This is Ukraine’s biggest charitable project. During the year 2006, the Fund’s workers carried out various events and presentations to promote the project in Ukraine. December 17, 2006, 11 Ukrainian TV channels aired the Children’s Hospital of the Future All-Ukrainian Telethon to raise funds for the hospital construction, raising in cash and declarations UAH 242,000,000. As of July 25, 2007, UAH 261,346,244 was collected and declared for the construction of the hospital
