Dnipropetrovsk Commemorates Holodomor Victims with 5,000 Meeting

On the same day, a requiem meeting was held in all Dnipropetrovsk oblast cities and districts, gathering together a considerable number of people. At 4:00 p.m., as part of the all-Ukrainian Light a Candle action, people lit candles in the shape of a cross at Holodomor victims memorials. Lit candles can also be seen in the windows of private houses and apartments.  »»

On the patriarchal blessing, requiems for the victims of famine took place that day at many churches in Russia and other countries, as well as the Moscow Patriarchate parishes abroad.  »»

Croatia Commemorates Holodomor Victims

As LIHABiznesInform was told at the press service of the Embassy of Ukraine to the Republic of Croatia, Ambassador of Ukraine Markiyan Lubkivsky addressed those present at the setvice, speaking about the reasons and consequences of Holodomor and calling on the members of the Ukrainian community to work actively to promote recognition by Croatia of this great tragedy of the Ukrainian people. After the liturgy, candles were lit near Sts. Cyril and Methodius Church in the memory of Holodomor victims. Requiems were also held in all places of compact residence of the Ukrainians, in part, Vukovar, Slavonski Brod, Rijeka, etc.  »»

Our Ukraine Calls to Remember Tragic Pages of Our History

“We have to remember the tragic pages in our history to prevent repeating the mistakes of the past.
